Grain: Storage and dryer in one

In August 2012, arable farm Van Rulo in Midwolda (NL) started to use a new grain storage, built by Jansen&Heuning. Two silos with a dimater of 11,5 meters provide space for more than 1.500 tons of grain. One of the silo has a drying installation.

Dry 700 tons of grains at once

Two vertical augers ensure that the product is mixed and together with a fan of 18.5 kW, around 700 tons of grain can be dried at once. The chain conveyor on the walkway can turn both left and right.

Filling with 60 tons per hour

The filling of the silos is done with an installation whereby the gain is tilt into the intake pit, and an auger ensures the transport to the elevator. The filling capacity if 60 tons per hour. If the intake pit is empty, the installation will stop automatically thanks to a sensor.

Attention to ease of operation

For unloading, special outlet augers with kink have been mounted under both silos to bring the grain to the elevator. A delivery tube can deliver the grain from bot silos. In the design of this grain storage, much attention was paid to the ease of operation. All functions can be easily operated via the control cabinet.
