Description Shaftless screw conveyor
The shaftless screw conveyor is used for conveying difficult flowing, sticky or fibrous bulk materials. The solid screw flight rotates without a central pipe in a wear resistant trough. This prevents material build up or wrapping.
The shaftless screw conveyor can be configured horizontally or inclined. By varying the diameter, pitch and rotational speed, the shaftless screw conveyor can be adapted to a wide range of conveying applications. The shaftless spiral conveys material continuously or in a metered flow for weighing or for controlled product feeding to, for example, a mixer, silo or subsequent process step.
Application shaftless screw conveyor
The shaftless screw conveyor is used in installations where product behaviour affects the continuity of the conveying process. The design without a central shaft is selected in situations where material may accumulate or wrap around a shaft.
Materials: sludge, compost, fibrous residual materials, wet biomass, sticky powders and recycling streams
Product characteristics: long fibres, high moisture content, sticky structure or tendency to agglomerate
Industries: recycling installations, wastewater treatment plants, food industry, animal feed production and chemical process installations
