Description Disc Dehuller for Grains and Seeds

The disc dehuller by Jansen&Heuning is designed for separating husks that are not tightly bound to the kernel. This machine is particularly suitable for small, non-oily seeds such as barley and buckwheat, provided the material is thoroughly cleaned and calibrated. Presence of stones or metal particles must be avoided as they may damage the disc.

The product is fed between a stationary disc and a rotating disc mounted on roller bearings. The gap between rotor and stator can be adjusted by vertically moving the fixed disc, allowing the peeling intensity to match the grain size. A constant feed rate is required for optimal performance. To improve product quality, we recommend using a magnet and connecting a dedicated exhaust channel to remove husks and dust particles.
