Description Horizontal Dehuller for Grains and Pulses

The horizontal dehuller is developed for mechanical surface treatment and dehulling of grains and pulses prior to further processing. In addition, this machine is used for cleaning the product surface. Thanks to its compact design, it is well suited for use in small-scale processing lines or test installations.

Operation of the Horizontal Dehulling Machine

Product enters the machine via the feed opening and is mechanically abraded or peeled as it passes through the rotating system. The intensity of the peeling can be adjusted based on product type and moisture content. An integrated extraction channel removes husks and dust via airflow, resulting in a cleaner end product and reduced wear on downstream processes.

Applications Horizontal Dehuller

The horizontal dehuller is used for:

  • Dehulling of grains
  • Dehulling of pulses
  • Surface cleaning of the product

This type of machine is commonly applied in grain processing, pilot plants and cleaning lines for bulk materials in the food and feed industries across Europe.

Advantages Horizontal Dehuller

  • Compact design, ideal for small installations and test units
  • Low energy consumption
  • Adjustable peeling intensity
  • Dust-reduced operation with integrated extraction system
