Jansen&Heuning has places a grain storage with drying installation at the arable farm Mellema in Nieuw Scheemda (NL). „There was always a barn at this place and we did not want an external grain silo. This barn is not only functional, it fits great in its surroundings too.“

The grain storage of 2000 tons was realized in 2015, whereby a new grain dyer was taken into account. Before the grain is dried, it is put in a buffer silo with a capacity of around 200 tons. This grain dryer is fed by an elevator which has a capacity of 7 tons of wheat per hour with 5% drying. The drying process works fully automatically and that makes Mellema much calmer.
